Who is Captain Sour?

Born in MA but soon moving to SC, Jon or "Captain Sour" has grown up in the 803 and calls it home.

Never going to a public school, time was a thing Jon had alot of.

At age 11 Jonathan got his first electric guitar and at 12 started playing for church.

In his early teenage years He would write a few songs, join a few bands and make a few friends that helped keep him in the music mindset.

About 2018 to 2019 is when Captain Sour first started rapping with his cousin and putting some music out.

Fast forward to 2020. Captain Sour was nothing more than a few songs on SoundCloud and a dream.

After wishing he had more time on his hands to make music, in March of 2020 he and his whole family went into quarantine.

Jon's family is incredibly musical and with all that time to get better, they got better. Jon started working on Captain Sour more and dove into the world of production.

Dougie (16) became an excellent guitarist, even more so than before lockdown.

Jack (13) Got great at keyboard, which helped Jon immensely with production.

Now with Captain sour being self-produced after Type beat project "connections"

It was time to make some moves!

Captain Sour found rapping started to get boring, so in the first few weeks of quarantine "Robotsdontcry" was released.

Although not mixed or mastered very well, it was a good stepping stone for the young artist.

After that project, Captain Sour's quality has only gotten better both lyric, and production wise.

Captain Sour will now be starting to work towards an audio engineering certificate at Midland's Tech this fall, and is hopefull that this is just the beginning of great and has devoted his life to honing hi musical ability.
